No-bank subscription tracker
A subscription tracker with no bank connection and no login.
PayClear helps you track subscriptions, trials and recurring bills without bank linking, Plaid, card linking or account creation — free for up to 5 services.
Track subscriptions without bank access
PayClear is for people who want subscription visibility without handing a third-party app access to bank transactions. The app does not ask for bank credentials, does not connect through Plaid and does not scan your transaction history to detect subscriptions.
That trade-off is intentional. PayClear is manual by design. You add the services you want to track, choose the billing cycle, set renewal dates and decide which reminders matter. The result is a no-bank subscription tracker that stays focused on recurring payments.
No Plaid and no transaction scanning
Automatic subscription detection can be useful, but it requires a level of account access that not every user wants. PayClear takes the manual route: add the service name, price, renewal date, billing cycle and reminder timing yourself.
Manual entry also avoids the false positives that transaction scanning produces. If a service is in PayClear, it is there because you chose to track it — not because an algorithm decided a charge looked recurring.
No login required for the core tracker
A private tracker should not make onboarding feel like another financial product. PayClear does not require an account for the core subscription tracking experience. You can organize recurring payments, trials and bills without creating a profile just to see your own list.
Start with the subscriptions most likely to cause a surprise: annual plans, free trials, services with recent price changes and subscriptions you share. Add the actual next billing date rather than a guess — check the service's account page or the most recent receipt if you are unsure.
Local-first data and manual backup
PayClear is local-first. Subscription tracker data is stored on your device instead of being uploaded to a PayClear backend as part of the core tracking model. When you want a backup or export, PayClear gives you tools such as JSON backup and CSV export so you can manage your own data.
The app should not be described as automatic cloud sync or end-to-end encrypted cloud sync. The stronger and more accurate promise is simpler: your tracker stays under your control. Do not enter passwords or full card numbers into a subscription tracker — the useful record is what the service is, what it costs and when it renews.
What the free plan covers
The free plan includes the core tracking experience: up to 5 active services, the dashboard with monthly and yearly costs, upcoming renewals, core local reminders, backup and restore, and CSV export. Light ads may appear. No account and no payment details are needed to start.
Lifetime premium is a one-time purchase that removes the service limit and ads and adds app lock, the savings simulator and premium reports. It is deliberately not a monthly plan — a subscription tracker that bills you monthly is part of the problem it claims to solve.
Privacy without losing practical features
No-bank tracking does not mean a bare list. PayClear still supports local reminders, free trial tracking, spending limits, bill split tools, recurring spend insights and cancellation savings scenarios. Those features work from the information you choose to enter.
The honest limitation is discovery: a manual tracker will not find a subscription you have forgotten about. Reviewing card statements and your app-store subscription list every few months keeps the record complete, and takes far less access than linking an account permanently.

Yes, the free plan covers up to 5 active services with the full dashboard, local reminders, backup and CSV export. Lifetime premium is an optional one-time purchase, not a recurring plan.
